The 2025 International Conference on Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing Technology (ISRIMT 2025)
and the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Grouping and Intelligent Integration Technology Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society Successfully Convened!

From December 12 to 14, 2025, the 2025 International Conference on Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing Technology (ISRIMT 2025) and the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Grouping and Intelligent Integration Technology Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society were successfully held in Changzhou, China. The conference was hosted by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, organized by Hohai University, the Grouping and Intelligent Integration Technology Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and Longcheng Laboratory, and co-organized by the Editorial Department of the Journal of Xi’an Jiaotong University, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, Nanjing Institute of Technology, Modern Design and Rotor Bearing Ministry of Education Key Laboratory, Dredging Technology Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center, Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Special Robot Technology, Jiangsu Mechanical Engineering Society, Jiangsu Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Society, the Equipment Intelligent Operation and Maintenance & Optimization Scheduling Branch of Jiangsu Mechanical Engineering Society, and AEIC Academic Exchange Center. The conference attracted over 200 experts and scholars from numerous universities and research institutes at home and abroad to exchange ideas, discuss the latest research hotspots and innovative achievements in the field, providing new perspectives and inspirations for future research and practice.

On the morning of December 13, the opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Ding Kun, Dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Hohai University, who expressed gratitude to all participants for their strong support of the conference. Then, speeches were delivered successively by Professor Chen Da, Vice President of Hohai University; Professor Hong Jun, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Grouping and Intelligent Integration Technology Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society; and Professor Xie Yimin, Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Dean of the School of Future Technology at Hohai University. They warmly welcomed all experts and scholars, hoping that attendees could fully exchange the latest research achievements and explore more cooperation opportunities. Finally, sincere thanks were extended to the guests who traveled from afar, and best wishes were given for the fruitful success of the conference.

During the keynote report sessions, several well-known experts in the fields of robotics and intelligent manufacturing delivered keynote speeches, sharing cutting-edge information and research outcomes that sparked enthusiastic discussions on-site, demonstrating the academic depth and influence of the conference.

Professor Mei Xuesong from Xi’an Jiaotong University shared key technologies and applications on compliant operation and precision control of mobile robots, focusing on robot challenges in semiconductor workshops, tackling core technologies, and developing software to improve efficiency and quality.

Professor Hua Lin from Wuhan University of Technology discussed the integrated technology and application of intelligent defect detection and repair robots for complex parts in transportation equipment, providing core methods and engineering references to enhance the manufacturing technology level of transportation equipment.

Professor Sun Linfu from Southwest Jiaotong University presented on the development of industrial software systems and manufacturing innovation in the era of intelligent connectivity, analyzing industrial software trends and elaborating on system innovation and typical cases.

Professor Jiang Shuyun from Southeast University reported research on high-speed water-lubricated bearing machine tool spindles, focusing on high-speed electric spindles, key technologies for water-lubricated bearings, and prototype progress.

Researcher Dai Zheng from Shanghai 800 Institute reported on the digital transformation practice of aerospace discrete manufacturing enterprises under the “old plant renewal” initiative, proposing integrated platform-type digital system solutions aligned with technological development trends.

Professor Yan Yongda from Harbin Institute of Technology shared research on processing cross-scale micro-nano structured functional surfaces using force servo-controlled structured tools, focusing on the challenges of cross-scale micro-nano processing and introducing new force servo tool processes and validations.

Professor Liu Qiang from Guangdong University of Technology presented on intelligent layout optimization methods, software, and applications, analyzing layout optimization problems in discrete manufacturing and reporting on algorithm systems, application models, and practices.

On the afternoon of the 13th, six parallel sub-forums were specially arranged, inviting 56 experts and scholars to deliver invited reports around six major themes: “Intelligent Manufacturing Processes and Assembly Technologies,” “AI-enabled Aerospace Equipment,” “Robotics and Human-Machine Collaboration,” “Underwater Robotics and Engineering Safety,” “Key Technologies for Human-Machine Collaborative Manufacturing,” and “Forward Design of High-end CNC Machine Tools.” They shared innovative ideas and practical application experiences in their respective fields, providing participants with rich and highly practical academic materials, while also sparking wide intellectual resonance and deep inspiration. This effectively promoted knowledge exchange and idea collision between academia and industry.

On the morning of December 14, a Youth Scholars Report Forum was held, featuring 39 young scholars from universities such as Xi’an Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Tianjin University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Hohai University who presented reports or poster displays. The forum selected 10 awardees for Excellent Papers, Excellent Posters, and Excellent Youth Scholar Reports, aiming to build a platform for young researchers in the field to showcase and exchange ideas, and to recognize and encourage the sharing and dissemination of innovative research achievements.

During the conference, the Fifth Committee of the Grouping and Intelligent Integration Technology Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society also held its 2025 annual plenary meeting, summarizing the branch’s work for 2025 and making arrangements for 2026.

With that, the 2025 International Conference on Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing Technology (ISRIMT 2025) and the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Grouping and Intelligent Integration Technology Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society concluded successfully. In the future, the conference will continue to focus on frontier areas such as robotics and intelligent manufacturing technology, exploring opportunities and challenges in academia and industry, committing to promoting research and application developments, advancing discipline growth, and fostering talent cultivation. We look forward to meeting again in Changzhou next year!
